Well that’s just lovely. Freeservers have decided to use popups. Time to see about moving on, then. Well at least it shouldn’t be too difficult, given that hardly anyone knows about this place… :)

In a more news-related item, I am planning to do less wallpapers, and try my hand at book-cover making. Seems to make it a bit easier to find something to do.

More news from today’s web trawl…

GameCenter has a preview of the Diablo II expansion pack up, with a stack of screenshots, and some new info about the new classes, the Assasin and the Druid.

Mental note: check out Cowboy Bebop at some stage. Looks like a mighty fine anime. I guess that’s next on the list after serial experiments lain.

Props to Mr /. for this bit of craziness: A Cray Y-MP C90 is being offered on ebay for $US35K… see here for the story, or here to go to ebay itself.

Sorry for the americanism. “Props”, Hah! I have been reading far too many American geek websites..

Ah well, time to get to work, I guess…

Note to anime fans / otaku:

If you are like me and are interested in grabbing your favourite anime on DVD, check out AnimeOnDVD. This is a kickin’ site full of reviews, and even a list of ‘easter eggs’ (or ‘omake’) on anime DVD’s! Guess it’s time to try and find the Macross Plus omake…

Well, It’s been a while since my last blog, but things have been a little busy…

I’d just like to shout as loudly as possible about my three-year anniversary with my girlfriend Trang. It’s been an amazing three years, and I love her very much.

Sorry for the sentimentalism, but it had to be said.

We now return you to your normal programming.

Just discovered that all of these funky new broadband
technologies that Telstra is offering don’t allow static IP addresses yet.
Of course this means that my current work may well be hamstrung by
crappy 56K modem connection to service 15 people for months yet.

Man I hate telstra.

Woohoo, fixed up the timezone so that these actually show the right time. Bonus.

To Do:

  • Talk to Hugh re apocryphal books of the bible.
  • Practise Japanese more
  • Figure out how many people are coming over on Friday
  • buy notebooks for HPS musings
  • make sure to maintain blogs!

Well here is my first blog…
mainly a test blog, really, but here’s some links I want to check out
sometime…
