Well, for those of you who read this and don’t know already, Trang and I have broken up. This, in addition to the whole having-to-move-house thing, has had my life in a very indeterminate state lately, which has been reflected in my lack of posting.

Anyway, hopefully after I’ve moved, I’ll be able to add more stuff here, and post more regularly…

Maybe I need one of these. mmm, a teddy that substitutes as a network switch. Nothing like plugging your teddy into your home network to brighten your day.

Apolgies for not posting recently. I’ve been going through a rough patch lately, and haven’t felt like broadcasting it.

Normal service will be resumed later…

Well, work has settled down a bit again. To summarise:

I worked 19 hours last weekend, and 14 the weeked before, which means that I will get paid a lot this next payday. Yay!

I completely unpatched and repatched the patch panels here at work. That’s between three and four hundred patch cables. For the record, this is a good thing to have done, but not a good thing to have to do. I would suggest that if anyone ever suggests that you do something similar, run.

Run fast.

Well, it’s 9pm Friday night and I’m still at work. However, I have just labelled around 200 patch cables with the correct number so that I can tidy them up tomorrow. I plan on doing this right so I never have to do this again.

I’m going home.

Very cool article about the use of artifical life simulation ideas in the creation of artificial social networks. I’ll dump some ideas to the musings page about it.

Other things of note:

I managed to have a quick game of Rogue Leader, the sequel to Rogue Squadron for the Gamecube. Oh boy is that a nice looking game. Unfortunately, I had just bought Freedom Force and wanted to get home and play it.

I’ve started looking around at ADSL options – I didn’t realise that Telstra is not the only one any more, with heaps of ISPs beginning to offer ADSL…

Well, there weren’t any rabid hamster attacks and I did end up buying Freedom Force. It rocks hard! That’s the reason I haven’t been posting since Monday.

In other news, the knee is recuperating nicely. The gym program I got from my physio seems to be helping, and I made it back to Wu Shu on Tuesday, which was very good.

I have decided I will be buying Freedom Force today. Come hell, high water, or rabid hamster attack. I will own this game before tomorrow. I earned this last weekend.

Well, I’m posting this from work after spending a good 10 hours at work over this weekend shifting PCs and organising refurbishments. I am very tired. But, I’m off to go see Fellowship of the Ring for the third time. That should be good.
